God is a deity in theistic and deistic religions and other belief systems, representing either the sole deity inmonotheism, or a principal deity in polytheism.[1]
God is most often conceived of as the supernatural creator and overseer of the universe. Theologians have ascribed a variety of attributes to the many different conceptions of God. The most common among these include omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, omnibenevolence(perfect goodness), divine simplicity, and eternal and necessary existence. God has also been conceived as being incorporeal, a personal being, the source of all moral obligation, and the "greatest conceivable existent".[1] These attributes were all supported to varying degrees by the earlyJewish, Christian and Muslim theologian philosophers, including Maimonides,[2] Augustine of Hippo,[2] and Al-Ghazali,[3] respectively. Many notable medieval philosophers developed arguments for the existence of God.[3]
IllI have to express God in my own way, in my own words, and through my own experience in this life. This section of the site attempts to articulate my thoughts and love for God...
Faith... is after all, a trust in things not seen. If we had all the physical evidence at our very hands, faith would not be required, and thus the link that allows us to embrace God would be meaningless. So physical proof equates to, the physical proof itself, taking away the very component a human needs to create a pathway to God, which is Faith, "a trust in things not seen". I realize the Bible was compiled a short time ago by men, but these men were gifted and blessed men on a mission; if you don't believe me, read their words, feel their hearts, and try to get past your own ideas so you can be open to learn from these men. The early Saints were men that changed the world. They weren't snake oil salesman or pastors in silk suites. They all gave their very lives for this Truth, and in most cases their deaths were as cruel as it gets.
Later on down th
e road there were choices of what books to put into the canons; there had to be a text that would represent the whole. You have to understand, these letters and books that were chosen were a very good choice of text to bring man in search of his creator, and right to his knees in the prosess. Read the words and feel the spirit, and let go of the fact that men were involved with getting it to you. I mean, someone had to write it down. Birds have no hands and monkeys were busy swinging from tree to tree.
Spiritual Truth in my view really does light up the dark we in this world hold in such high regard. Men get furious when the Light hits them directly in the eyes and reflects the dark places in their hearts. They will lash back with the fury of hell if taken off guard and exposed to this light. The Word, The Scriptures, will pull us right off our soap box, and light up all the things in ourselves that we don't want anyone to see; nor do we want to see these things in ourselves either. The truth of what we are and what we do here on this planet is far to painful for any of us to get our hands around. We go through the days with good intentions and lack of knowledge of what good really is. We first have to become humble, then we can be teachable. Then we can see with a clear field of vision. The Scriptures aided me in this walk, and I'm one knucklehead for sure. So if Gods Word will change my world and heal my body it can do the same for you. But Faith has to be operating in your heart and your mind for any of this to take place.
We hold high all kinds of things here in this land in high regard, yet we overlook the history of this thing we call Christianity, and the effect it has on the human race - why? Because of what Men have done with this magnificent heritage; let's not hold Christ responsible for Christian's folly, greed and ignorance. Let's look at the gift of Love that has been given to us. Let's look at the door that has been opened up for us, and the potential for Healing and redemption that comes along with this open door. There's a paragraph in a great book of our age that goes like this: And I quote..."There is no greater ignorance on this earth than contempt prior to investigation." End of quote. You know you don't have to go along with the Church to study the rich history that is in the Old Testament, or the absolute Grace that is the New Testament. Read, study, search with an open heart and all things will come to you, in time, and if you're also a hard head like myself, then all things will come to you very slowly as they do for me. But God will speak to a humble man.
To me, it's very appea
rent that this is why we have lost the Physical healing process, and the steadfast Faith of our saints of the first 200 years. But hey, the Church is just made up of people with all their own downfalls just like the rest of us, so what can we really expect. But Christ on the other hand, wasn't just a man. The healing were documented by some secular scribes of His time and there is really no question that He lived, healed many, and died on the Cross, and if you really look close you will see that he rose again. This was no mere man by any stretch of the imagination. This was the Son of God and one loved by His Father with all the Love there was to bestow.
Thousands upon thousands of men and woman were put to death by hanging, crucifixion, burning, and countless other creative means by Nero for following Christ. Why was that? There was no Church at the time, no politics at the time, nothing to gain but horror, pain, and the cruelest of means of death for these believers. Why would they just line up to be slaughtered like cows? Why would they endure such torture and such painful deaths? Why would they live in such fear, not knowing when their time was at hand by the Romans? It was because they saw something magnificent that they were to give birth to, something bigger then their own lives. Having witnessed this firsthand or having heard from their fathers that witnessed it first hand. They knew the Truth, and they knew the Big Lie too. The Truth illuminates the message that this life is just a short step to Grace, and the Lie is that this life is all there is. One perspective brings life to you, and the other one brings death to you.
For all you skeptics, there's a book by a man named Simon Greenlief. I think it is called, "Evidence of the Resurrection". This was written by a secular professor; I think anyone willing to turn their back to the history and the proofs of this subject without getting all the facts first, is short changing themselves in a most horrific manner. If you are so inclined, pick up a copy of this man's book and read what this man found as he was trying so hard to disprove Christ; it may very well change your life.
years we look back at science, technology, and so forth, and we see the obsolete science and technology from the years before, and say we have progressed. Then we view the former science as null and void, and no longer needed after progressing to the next level; in hindsight the former state of the art was almost foolish. That means our present state of science is also obsolete; time just has to pass by enough for the new paradigm to become old once again, and once again the new paradigm after becoming old will be deemed as foolish as the one before it. By then we will be onto the next self serving step to false Godhood. If we see our cutting edge creations and discoveries as foolish so soon after we discovered them, and so shortly after their birth, then all of our science and perceptions must be foolish. Surly they must seem at least humorous to God who sees the whole, as apposed to us who just See's things in such short increments... In Christ, love compassion, honor, and charity - all last forever, and never change. In human endeavor the very best can't last more then a moment.
